Day 24 – Roll it Up

This video is on the long side, but I love what Cherry Dollface looks like and I want to remember this hairstyle. What do you think?

If you want to follow her, here is her information:

I’ll be honest, I still haven’t bought into prepping my hair, curling it, and using products, but over the last month, clearly most of these gals prep, tease, curl, and use product and the results are solid. I find that when I haven’t washed my hair in a while, or if I’ve been keeping my hair in pin curls, I don’t tend to need product anyways. Anyone else in the same boat?

This also reminds me that I need to find a great colorist here in San Francisco. I know there are lots of them, but who is going to be my go-to-gal? Any suggestions? He/She needs to have already colored hair like mine….I’d prefer not to train another one.

xx

Day 16 – Victory Rolls

These are quite possibly the largest victory rolls I’ve ever seen. Enjoy!!!

So if you’ve been following along, you’ve probably noticed that I keep Asheley Marie‘s hair tutorials. I love the final product, but I do think she could be more concise and have her videos move along at a fast clip. What do you think?

Holy wow! Jump to 2:40 if you just bopped around through the video. I’ve never seen anyone tease their hair so it looks like that. Daaaang!!

Ok, I also need to throw this out there: I’m literally in awe of her process. Wow. Honestly, I’ve never put this much time or effort into my victory rolls, and now I feel like I should….at least once! Wow wow wow. Is it just me, or are you amazed by her as well?

Day 7 – Victory Bun

Yup, another bun!! They are so versatile; they are messy, classy, clean, chic, or grungy depending on how you personalize it. What can I say, I appreciate a nice bun, hun!

This gal has amazing eyes…

….and a solid hair tutorial. What I like is that she’s basically uses a victory roll technique to roll her hair up and then has turned those rolls into a bun. Just saying, it’s a great idea and I can’t believe I never thought of it. On the other hand, this does mean you need to spend more than 60 seconds on your hair (heheh, often when I’m putting my hair in a bun, it takes less than a minutes. Keeping in place is another story).

Hair Tutorial – Day 20 – Victory Rolls

It’s Sunday night and I need to get dolled up! I am at Goodnight Sweetheart with some of the prettiest folks you’ve ever seen and the party is still going. Looks like I need to step up my game here!

You’ve seen these before, but they are a staple in the pinup girl’s arsenal of hair styles. May I present to you: The Victory Roll!

Teasing goes a long way, eh? Man….this totally makes me want to cut my hair. Let me know if you find this to be easier or harder depending on your hair length. 🙂

Hair Tutorial – Day Nine – Victory Rolls

I really dig how Vivideluxxxe did her tutorial. Even if you don’t watch the entire thing, you can still click through the video and see her progression. I really like the shape of her rolls. 😀

Often times I won’t curl my hair before I do rolls, but I can absolutely see the benefit of why one should. Hehe, mostly I don’t have the time since my hair is so long and heavy. How about you? Do you curl your hair or do you tease instead?

Don’t forget to send me pictures!!

Hehhe, I just figured out that my Day Six post didn’t make it up, until now! Check it out. I found a great tutorial on how to curl hair with a curling iron. Great for short to medium hair.
