Jo Hoffberg is available for
Virtual Private Lessons and Video Reviews
All too often Jo has heard that students would love more personalized feedback, but it’s hard to come by as International Instructors aren’t in town often enough or were too busy for privates while at events.
Well good news! There’s a technological solution to that problem: Online Lessons!
Have you ever found yourself wishing that you could see what the teacher was seeing?
Or when you’re practicing after a dance lesson, do you wish you had a transcript of everything you went over? Well, …
Working online with Jo Hoffberg is a great way to learn how to:

- overcome the fear of filming yourself
- more accurately assess your dancing
- sharpen your audition and competition skills
- refine your current training
- improve your choreography
- getting feedback on your current rehearsal sessions
- getting personalized solo drills or variations
- create accountability
Jo offers in-depth virtual private lessons as well as video reviews.

Here’s how to make a video that best sets me up to give you feedback.
- Ideally, you will be in a well-lit dance studio and film yourself from straight-on as that’s the easiest way for me to see you and your body movement.
- Film yourself either: social dancing, rehearsing a routine, performing a routine, practicing a jazz step, throwing an aerial, or asking a question and then send it to me (via Dropbox, unlisted on Youtube, Google Drive, etc.).
- If there is something, in particular, you’d like feedback on, please let me know, otherwise, I’ll download your video, record a voice-over of what I see, recommend how to make improvements, and send it back to you.
Jo is currently focused on working with students who:
- Don’t want to regress in their dancing during the next few months
- Want to improve their solo movement and are feeling stuck
- Desire accountability
- Couples training for future competitions
- Dancers working on creating or polishing choreography
- iLindy users interested in checking in on their progress
